With all the people that post ricey cars here I was just wondering if we could have a Rice forum that all the incorectly posted threads could be moved to?
Kind of like a penalty box.

 

There already is one..The appearence forum,,99% of those cars are all riced with the "JDM" craze..

lol...I think its just in CALI that see the rice everyday...I dont hate but I think body kits make the car way to aggressive just a turn off...I have a wings west kit but hey it aint that bad...I just got it for an amazing deal and guy only lived 30 minutes away and I am about to paint car once I fin out why its running to fucken rich...

Eh, mind my ignorance, but what exactly would a ricer basically be? If I had a few shots of my own ride I'd post them myself (hopefully done this weekend) and showoff what little its got and compare them to what a ricer really is. Its bad enough I get the insults of "being" one, but dang, what really is a ricer?

i don't think so. We all had a little rice in us when we first started out, just give them time as we did and it should soon fade away. Atleast i hope.

I am not sure -but what I think he is trying to say is what aftermarket companies have just label as JDM, and it just being some standard a/m stuff they call JDM -so the end users says; yeap, I have everything JDM done to my car, I have the shogun body kit, the black/chrome "JDM" headlights, etc etc.

I don't believe he was trying to reference a complete front OEM JDM front end conversion. -At leat -that is how I read his statments.

Basically,,Yeah

Just think about this,, a couple years back when you typed in JDM on ebay search you'd get motors,and parts off of j-spec cars and stuff like that..And there wasnt that many search results..Maybe a couple 100..Do it now..And you have people with jdm air fresheners,jdm shiftknobs,jdm key chains,jdm water,jdm subwoofer,jdm seatbelt,jdm mirror,jdm bov,jdm alternator,jdm emblems,jdm mufflers,jdm car covers,jdm stickers,corners painted orange so its jdm,jdm body kits,that acouple years back said "fast and furious look a like"..Remember that?,,jdm this,jdm that..Its basically the new rice..I mean shiy theres even some idiots that want to paint there car a "jdm color"..Alot of that is becaue of honda-tech.com..They see what the new craze is they respond..Im just tired of people calling everything jdm,,and they have us cars calling them EF-9s and EF-8s,etc..All you have to do is look at the vin # and youd see its "ED"....Dont get it twisted Id take a sir crx any day over this garbage japan sent us..But Im not gonna go around saying its a jdm crx and list everything it has with the title "JDM"..Its just a honda crx,,

I was into this stuff before the fabled MOVIE, and I never liked bodykits, ect. I had one car that I thought a bodykit would enhance, and that was a Neon Coupe. I believe certain cars NEED em, like Supras, 240's, and ****, but Motegi MR7's, Altezza's, M3 fender/mirrors, painted dashes, halo projectors, ect are just plain gay.

On the flip side, JDM is becoming gay. I wouldn't say I follow JDM, because I liked stock bodylines before it became fashionable. But now, it's just stupid retarded. Every CRX looks the same, every EG hatch looks the same, every car of a certain model looks the SAME. What? The only differences are: Did you choose, white, black, red, yellow, blue or silver paint, did you choose clear corners, or amber corners....what color of wheels? Black, black with a lip, bronze, gold, or white. Whoop! big choices there!

BTW locally, Theres 5 white EH2's(EG hatches) local with amber corners, a CF hood, and 3 have red GT3's.

Yeah atleast the fast and furious ricers had somewhat orignality even though it looks like **** and does nothing but hinder the performance..

Theres another thing I want to add,,Ive been into hondas for a while and back in the day there was not much theft with honda/acura..After the jdm craze hondas started getting stolen like crazy..or is it just me that notices that..? I dont know though,maybe just a coincedence..
