I have an eg... I took off my battery and the metal tray under it which has three bolts. I dropped one the the two lower bolts that held the tray down, it went in the opening under the tray. I didn't fall down to the floor like I hoped it would. I'm worried that it'll now start making a rattling noise when I drive or even get lodged in somewhere.

I even accelerated fast and braked hard, hoping that it would loosen the bolt and make it fall, but it didn't work. what can I do??

 

Damn I just hate it when I drop those little bolts and you'd hope that it'll end up on the ground but it doesn't cause its already lodged up somewhere in a small nook. Damn-it-all!!! Cause it takes forever to find them. One time I was trying to unbolt my intake manifold but one of the back intake manifold bolts slipped outta my hands and just dissapeared forever under the manifold. It never fell to the ground, but luckly it never created rattling noises or became a big problem. Yes I kow this reply doesn't solve your problems but thought I'd share my horror stories.

 

try some long *** tongs...its works when you drop a small peice of meat into the fire when you're having a bbq

I pick out 2 of the 3 bolts.
