hey dudes digging through pile of engines at the high school auto shop i found 2 d16s i have em sitting at my house

i also spotted 3 engines
f22a2(this is going to be at my house tomoroow for a rebuild)
non-marked cvcc engine
p16xx it was in the back long block missing valve cover ...it was dark and i had my friend read me the code hes into muscle cars and doesnt know his honda engines

the point is it looked like a single cam but it might of been missing a cam looked to be a spot for another cam

question is any such thing as a p16 engine (my auto teacher says its from a very old maybe second generation civic but i searched this site and searched google no such luck) is this a b16?

if it is im going to drop every sohc project i have (gotten for free of course) and build it

 

man wish i had an answer im so anticipating a free b16 lol

 

well its probally a B16 why don't you ask your friend if it has "twin cams" lol maybe you mis-understood him on the phone P's do sounds alot like B's

 

not a phone i was there with him it wasnt enough room for both of us so i said when he gets it(he benches about (290) and i said ill try to help him when he gets it out we ended up getting the d16's cuh there closer to the door 2 other smaller kids helped me load up the other y7 in my car

 

Just crawl back there and see what it is ...

 

You sure it was a honda motor?

You could tell by the head weither its a single or dual cam, the sizes are different. Also if he called the F and D series hell notice the difference. So if its a single then its probably a D or none honda.

 

it looked like a dual but it was covered by a checy 454 i could tell it was a honda because it is a 4 cylinder duh lol its obvious because the only 4 cyls are new new toyotas and hondas and this is the old parts bin so it is def a honda

ummm what about nissan 240sx, vw golf, dodge neon, chevy cavalier etc, those all came with 4 cylinder motors and all are newer. i guess the only way to be sure is grab a few friends and move the chevy 454 engine.
