Real good speakers, They play real loud and tight. But be ready to she out some cash. A good amp and that sub is going to set you about a grand. Depending were you get it. Plus you need to get good cable and power wire to run the amp. If you a budget cheak out the mtx 9500. I use theses everyday and they are worth every penney. The cost is a little under the jl sub. check the out at http://www.mtx.com. If not you will not be dissappointed with the jl.

opps check out this link, http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/headtohead/w7.cfm

You think two Alpine MRD-1001s is too much for this Sub to handle?

ditto. GREAT SQL woofer, large output, but not worth the sticker price. it hurts to shell out that much money on a subwoofer alone, then have to buy such a powerful top end amplifier to run it.

get a 12w6. good freq response and sounds great in a small sealed box.

I was running a Rockford Fosgate 500a2 bridged. This amp was underrated and probably pushed it 700w all day. But I just upgraded to the RF 1100a2 and the birthsheet says total watts is 1396. But I'm in the process of custimizing my trunk myself so when it's all done, we can battle since we are both in OC. I'll probably be done with it in like 2 weeks or so.

Neh, 600 for a 13in w7 is ebay price anyways. Box was just there and I couldn't pass it up. Looks good too, I'll probably end up building a diff box and using the black laminate and aluminum bars for it to look cool.

Modified by 4NLINE UNLIMITED at 11:30 AM 2/4/2006</TD></TR></TABLE> OIC, Only in Australia you say, well according to the specks it would make a good amp for the 12W7, a little extra wattage is a good thing, don't forget that its 1000W into 2 ohms at 14.4V the 12W7 is a 3 ohm sub, [Re 2.47 ohms] so it would be a good match up. 94
