Car won't start after compression test...I've replaced the coil and distributor with new ones, still no spark....i'm thinking ecu...someone mentioned the crankshaft position sensor, will that prevent spark?

what the crap happened to your other post? I was gettin ready to post in there and it came up invalid topic....
i was gonna say maybe your plug wires are on in the wrong order, but it says you dont have spark at all.

or perhaps you flooded it..try holding down the gas pedal and starting...If that doesn't work, take out the plugs and let everything dry out. Make sure all plugs and wires are in the correct order and tightened.

only took the plug end of the wires off for the test
thanks for the input guys
by the way, is telling someone they need to get laid an insult? i don't think so..

well, when i tested cyl 1, the engine started and ran w/ the tester in for maybe a second or two...as i worked through the cylinders, i left the plugs out....after i was done with all testing, i replaced the plugs in the same cyl they came from....wouldnt start....checked the plugs a few minutes later, they were fouled...cleaned them up real quick...traced it back to no spark at coil....coil gets power

i disconnected the battery for over 10 minutes to try a ecu reset still the same problem....i looked at the skamatic for the ignition system and the only other thing in the system i havent replaced is the ecu
make sure the coil is getting power with a test light. check ur dizzy for lose clips or bad connections to ignitor and coil.

the coil gets power, checked all connections, new dizzy (that includes ignitor/icm and pick-up coil/cyl position sensor) and new coil
basicly all i did was take the wires out of the spark plug tubes and take the plugs out...turned it over a lil bit w/ the plugs out.....and put everything back, then no spark from coil, then replaced the listed parts

ok now check if the coil is getting the signal. It cant be getting it because u say there's no spark so now follow it back to the ecu. here a link for ecu pinouts obd1 and 2 check all ignition related wires! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1446321 do u have a kill switch in the car?????

another ct luder..nice...the car is actually at my buddies house less than 10 minutes down the road....i appreciate the offer man....if i can't figure this out soon, i might ask to take u up on that...i've built motors and fixed many things but if it's not the ecu...i don't know what it is...just so weird how it happened

i was going around your route....i was thinking i fried something so i replaced the usual suspects...the only thing left in the ignition system according to the honda service manual i havent replaced is the ecu and plug wires...i'l check that link now and try it in the morning

is there a way to test the ecu? if i bring another ecu to honda, can they program the ecu immobilizer crap to my current key? any idea on price?
What are your plans with this car? If u plan on making power tuning will be necessary and obd2 sucks! If the ecu is fried invest in a obd2-obd1 harness and a chipped p28. Don't know about testing the ecu. Try finding another obd2 ecu and plugging it in, Remember there are 2 obd2's systems A and B 98 was the last year of the A plugs I think. Get any ecu accord civic it doesnt matter it has to start now it may not run right because of the maps but it should start

my plans are for turbo but that's next year i think...money isn't coming in fast enough...i know obd2 sucks but in order to pass emissions in CT the obd2 port still has to work, so i was going to go emanage ultimate...i don't know if ems still allows use of the port but i cant afford that right now anyway
