Default $10 PAYPAL to who solves problem

99 prelude base 5spd

Car won't start after compression test...I've replaced the coil and distributor with new ones, still no spark....i'm thinking ecu...someone mentioned the crankshaft position sensor, will that prevent spark?

or perhaps you flooded it..try holding down the gas pedal and starting...If that doesn't work, take out the plugs and let everything dry out. Make sure all plugs and wires are in the correct order and tightened.

well, when i tested cyl 1, the engine started and ran w/ the tester in for maybe a second or two...as i worked through the cylinders, i left the plugs out....after i was done with all testing, i replaced the plugs in the same cyl they came from....wouldnt start....checked the plugs a few minutes later, they were fouled...cleaned them up real quick...traced it back to no spark at coil....coil gets power

the coil gets power, checked all connections, new dizzy (that includes ignitor/icm and pick-up coil/cyl position sensor) and new coil

basicly all i did was take the wires out of the spark plug tubes and take the plugs out...turned it over a lil bit w/ the plugs out.....and put everything back, then no spark from coil, then replaced the listed parts

ok now check if the coil is getting the signal. It cant be getting it because u say there's no spark so now follow it back to the ecu. here a link for ecu pinouts obd1 and 2 check all ignition related wires! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1446321 do u have a kill switch in the car?????

What are your plans with this car? If u plan on making power tuning will be necessary and obd2 sucks! If the ecu is fried invest in a obd2-obd1 harness and a chipped p28. Don't know about testing the ecu. Try finding another obd2 ecu and plugging it in, Remember there are 2 obd2's systems A and B 98 was the last year of the A plugs I think. Get any ecu accord civic it doesnt matter it has to start now it may not run right because of the maps but it should start

my plans are for turbo but that's next year i think...money isn't coming in fast enough...i know obd2 sucks but in order to pass emissions in CT the obd2 port still has to work, so i was going to go emanage ultimate...i don't know if ems still allows use of the port but i cant afford that right now anyway
