Default Help with b16a2 swap into 94 vx hatch

I have a 1994 honda civic vx hb. I bought a full swap with mounts, axles, ecu, tranny, engine, shift linkage..EVERYTHING. It is a b16a2 out of a 2000 si. I was wondering if anyone knew of ANY places i could see step by step walk throughs of a swap with pics like mine. I really need help becuz i need to go back home in a couple weeks and I have no money and a car without an engine in it so i cant pay somone to do the swap. I already have all the fluids and stuff. PLZ HELP ME! thanx

The mechanicals shouldn't be a problem to bolt in having the proper mounts...however, I believe that the engine harness is different between your 94 vx and the 2000 si. As I recall, you need to change out the wiring harness from the engine bay to the ecu as well. Check out this site: http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...p.php It's not exactly like your swap, but relatively similar. Hope it helps.

dont worry young patawon its not to hard. i didnt have any experience when i did my swap last month and everything turned out fine. just get you a manual or something like that. but you do have to add wires for vtec and the knock sensor. but search around and it will tell you how to do it.

did u already take out your stock motor from your car yet?? when you take out the motor from your car then all u need to do is back track...If you want to use your ob1 wireharness u would need to do some mods to make it work...you would need any ob1 distributor but u would need to cut a leg off to make it fit that might be a little difficult for you tho since u dont know much about swappin...but if your still willing to use your stock wireharness you will have to extend your o2 sensor wire...u dont need to cut and connect all u do is cut the wire cover and make the o2 wire longer to transfer it to the bottom...thats what I did. your going to need new holes too...get it from the dealership just ask for 2000SI civic upper and lower holes for the radiator...

It would be easier if u just use a ob2 wireharness so u wont get lost

Since your engine is out of a 2000 civic you need to find an obd1 wiring harness, because the civic harnesses of that generation is a one-piece, instead of two like your car, you can modify your harness, but there will be issues of wiring knock sensor, vtec, vtec oil, and 4- wire o2.

Im goin to use the stock harness and it comes with a p28 chipped ecu. So alls i have to do is take out the stock axles, pull the stock motor, putt new motor in,conect hoses and harness, wire the vtec wire to the ecu, concect the axles, and im ready to go. right?
