what to do with my header to exhaust?
ok, so as of now i have a JDM APEXi 2.5 inch header and a 2.5 magnaflow oval muffler. i want to get the OMNI 2.5 test pipe and KTELLER 2.5 catback piping, but money is always an issue. i got the header used and the muffler at a great price. lately i've been seeing some nice greddy and apexi exhausts for sale used.
my questions are, should i keep saving up for a new kteller catback piping and have my muffler welded on? should i look for a used aftermarket exhaust and just use the piping and have my magnaflow muffler put on? or should i just look for a used aftermarket exhaust, sell my muffler and call it a day? also, can i bolt on a 2.5 inch test pipe to a 2.36 inch aftermarket exhaust?
performance is really important to me, but i don't want a really big fart can. please let me know what you guys think. i know that ultimately it's really up to me and my bank account. tia

Since money is a issue for you, id suggest searching around for a used exhaust system. Even if you purchase the catback kit from kteller, welding doesnt come by cheap. Most places i know charge a ridiculous amount. If you find a place to do it cheap, then you can think otherwise but yea. Also you can definitely bolt a 2.5 test pipe to 2.36 piping, but itll bottleneck and hurt performance. Try to get it as free flowing as possible
thanks for your response. will the bottleneck make that much of a difference? anyone have numbers with 2.5 compare to 2.36 inch exhaust with a 2.5 inch header? more responses and opinions will be appreciated. thanks.

Is bumping allowed in this forum? Anyone?
You said your on a budget more than once. A used exhaust is plausible, but we don't know your definition of 'budget'.
I'm running a Kteller exhaust. I used it when I was turbo charged and am using it with a built N/A motor. It is fine for both aplications.
Regardless of what is going on with my exhaust system, the Kteller stuff is just as good but 2/3rds to 3/4ths less in price then your typical fart can JDM garbage.
If I were you, I'd stick with what you got.

2.5 to 2.36 wont hurt performance much, if at all. it's barely even a bottleneck, if you want to call it that.
