i just got a fictitious inspection sticker (fake,or not for my car) ticket and im located in VA. has anyone in VA ever gotten this before,and what was the consequences? i just dont want to lose my license......again

 

Why dont u call the dmv or police anonymously and ask them, thats the only way you will know for sure

 

ive never heard of it in VA..if its real you should be able to contact the place that issued it to you to prove that it is real

well it is real,but my cars open downpipe,wont pass inspection. so i had my friend get me one. and of course,when the cop stopped me,it wasnt issued to my car

 

I think you'll just get a ticket or something.... that's how it is here...don't know much about Va tho..

 

You most likely won't lose your license. However, you probably will get a ticket and you probably will at least have to get it inspected, in which case you'll fail anyway because you're running open DP.

well, you won't go to jail, the person that got it for you will, if HE wrote the sticker or whoever wrote the sticker (which they can and will find out) they will go to jail, and that shop who he works for will probably be shut down. so don't expletive with Va inspection rules or emission they are cracking down on it HARD, they started to do so about a year before i left that state

the the man (cop) that gave me my third window ticket told me after the 2nd they are considered a mostomenor and guess what nothing happened

EDIT- also you should get a ticket your fault for pulling a fast one, maybe you will learn next time..

 

yea i wouldnt worry so much about you, its who put the sticker on there..now in VA its $10k fine i think, they lose both their drivers license and inspection license and could pull jail time..thats why its hard to get inspections now a days around here

 

put the cat back on before court and get it inspected anyways, then throw the downpipe back on afterwards. though, some shops dont even look under the car for inspection because they get lazy.

this will show the judge you took initiative to fix the problem, and he will probably throw out the ticket.

 

Yea your don't have much to worry about, but whoever wrote got you the sticker does. Oh and a class 1 misdemeanor isn't 1-3 years. The maximum is 12 months. And if you think i'm wrong I had 5 of them at once and i was told by the judge each one carries a maximum 12 month sentence.

 

they always tell u that bull. i got 5 state ref tickets in CA and you just get a ticket for it. you dont loose your license. you either pay off the ticket or pass the inspection

trust me thats a LOT differant than a Va state inspection. and also from what i know of if you don't have a cat in Va, you can get 6 points on your license and 1000 dollar fine. so glad they didn't do that to you =P, its a form of recklass driving or endagerment or something. i can'tremeber where i heard it or read it, but i know someone who did get that.

 

did you get a ticket for it being false or just for no inspection, I had 2 expired inspection tickets last summer for a 2 year old sticker. I got my car fixed and took the pink slip they give you to court, Henrico-threw it out/ Hanover $70 fine included court cost. Good luck

I just want to know why the expletive the guy got you a sticker off another car.

If the sticker wasnt for you, the person that wrote it wont get in trouble, you will get in trouble for possibly stealing the sticker if it was reported stolen.

You need to get better hook ups. They will get you for falsafying something or what ever, but you WILL have to explain where it came from, and you will get fucked at court. Get a new one asap before court, and bring that little red recipt with you.

if the ticket is for a false sticker it could be the same as having forged government documents. depends on how the prosecutor decides to make the case.

on Henrico..we were there back in Nov. and got a ticket in the parking lot going into Super Tuner Show for exhuast
