I just want to do this right... I may be getting my grubby paws on a JDM D15B VTEC head but i don't wanna be nub and just slap it on there.
I really should rebuild my bottom end or get a different block seeing as mine has 260k+ miles on it.
My question is what pistons should i use in my b6 block for a decent CR? p29/pm7 if they fit?
Or should I scrap my B6 and just get a different d-series block that can wind a bit higher? i'm broke so i'm working off a tight budget too

well your trying to use ur hf pistons?? if so then its a waste. if you want to do a mini me ( basicly what the jdm d15b vtec motor is; i have one as well ) then grab a d16a6 or d16y7 block and grab some aftermarket pistons.

 

if b6 is the 8 valve I am almost sure those pistons will not work with a 16 valve head......also I have a d16a1 rods pistons and crank....i dunno if you can swap them in but I am pretty sure you can LMK if you need em

b6 pistons have 2 valve reliefs per piston so it wont work

i'm pretty sure that the d16 crank is almost totally incompatable with the d15 block
but how much for just the pistons
