Default 92-95 JDM power folding mirrors...

The car is my buddies 92 civic CX. he just bought a set of the JDM power folding mirrors from JHPUSA and he is having some issues getting them to work...
he used this diagram to make his own harness and has tested it on the car. Apparently the mirrors will move up and down and side to side but they will not fold in. he has not installed them on the car and only had them laying in the engine bay with the harness connected for testing... Do they have to be attached and grounded somehow for them to fold properly or is the diagram wrong?

(looking at the 1 on the relay box it goes to A on the Right side mirror and B on the left side mirror, and the 5 on the relay box goes to B on the Right side mirror and A on the Left side mirror) are these backwards?

any help would be appreciated

OT: Do power mirrors bolt to cars without power mirrors? I thought the offset might be a little different cause of the harness plug.

No, these are not backwards. That is the exact diagram that i used to wire my mirrors up and they fold/adjust perfectly. The error is probably in the harness that he made. Tell him to double check.
As far as the mirrors having to be grounded, I don't think so, but I did all of the work on mine with the mirrors already put on so I can't say for sure. It doesn't make much sense for the mirrors to have to be "grounded" since they are like plastic.

Yes they bolt right on. No, the harness plug is not in the way.

The switch for the mirrors isnt the normal switch on/switch off type. When you push it the button doesnt lock into its position, it returns back. Forgot what kind of switch this is called but that might have something to do with the problem you have as the wiring may need to be done another way !

Ok guys it's my mirrors....

I checked the wiring again. Nope thats not it... I just think the mirrors are bad....(the folding part)... My friend has an ek with them , gonna go by his pad after work and plug them into his car and see if they work... If so then I'm all f*cked up... and have to start over.. I also installed them on the car and that didn't change a thing... Thankz for all the help, I will pst up again upon this test later today.

are you using the relay made for powerfolding mirrors? or just a relay for power mirrors?

you might need the correct one if you dont already

the Si already has alot of the wiring done, where as on the CX there is no wiring and you have to do it ALL...
