Will a 3.5 ton jack work to replace my Front Engine Mount ?
Its not cracked ITS BROKEN. 95 Honda Accord EX (146K)
And guys I need to replacemy FRONT ENGINE MOUNT this weekend.. Engine shakes at high speeds and I am worried my tires would burst on a bump... Can anyone help me. I have never replaced a mount before. ANd will I need a pulley or can I work with a 3.5 ton jack. thanx guys in advance

Well it depends on what type of jack it is.If its a floor jack then yeah.Just put a block of wood between the jack and the engine and just jack the engine up enough so that it supported by the jack.But if it's a hydraulic cylinder style jack it may be to tall to fit under the car.but some cylinder style jacks are short enough to fit.

a. Junk Yard.
b. Pep Boys/Auto Zone
c. Dealer

3.5 ton jack?! damn! a 1/2 ton jack would even work fine for what you're doing.
I recommend dealership for the parts or a boneyard. a crappy parts store probably won't offer motor mounts.
front mount is dead easy to replace. jack up motor SLIGHTLY like dmc1 said. unbolt mount, bolt in new one. done.

you could also try online to save money, but ovbiously you need the part ASAP.
i know tasauto.com has GREAT deals on parts, both OEM and OEM spec.....this is something i gotta do this spring/summer when i get the front end off the accord....
