Default axleback exhaust

well...I finally banged the **** outta my stock muffler driving in the country..stupid me..

I've got a fart can lying around in my garage, and was thinking of taking it to a muffler shop to have them weld on a new axleback...how will this sound with the stock resonator? Any input?

I just want a temp. measure before I spend any money on a catback

any other mods? or is it all stock w/ soon to have on a fart can?

the brand also makes a difference how how it will sound. what brand is yours?

i.e. apexi N1 vs. APC N1 style = low deep vs. high raspy

anyway, i say save the 50 or 60 bucks u'd spend to get it welded on, and use the money to go towards your catback..

Are you serious? Apexi n1 is just the same as the rest of the generic fatcans..Big and straight through,, its going to sound raspy unless you use a decent size resonator..Stock exhaust piping/catylist/resonator with fartcans welded on seem to be quiet,,just a hint of rasp, but not like a can of bees..Also depends on the motor, sohc motors seem to sound more high pitched then dohc motors..also if its vtec or non vtec,,the head design has an impact on the sound..sorry to ramble on..

Not really..using the stock small piping and resonator will keep it sounding nice and deep..Its hard to explain how it sounds,my cousin has a fartcan welded on stock SI piping..
