Just take out the power steering pump/pulley/belt

You can do this, it will be harder to turn, than a non power rack. But if you are looking for a kit I would just as well buy a non power rack from a junk yard, I did a quick google and didn't see anything immediately, I would just get a manual rack if you are willing to buy a kit.

Yes...harder to turn while rolling slowly, like in a parking lot speed say for instance.
But once you get moving, I think the car feels alot more responsive and a much better feel of the road...
plus I needed the extra wrists/ forearms exercise since I don't put them to use much anymore (girlfriend)

There was an article about this in a tuner mag.You take a clutch master cyl resivoir take the screen and the plastic disc out if applicable. THen you take a piece if rubber hose and come off the bottom of the resivoir about 6" and install a T fittting. Then from the T you run a hose to one of the rack ps line and then the other ps line you run it back to the T and fluid and there you have it.Of course in the article they used braided lines with russell fittings.

Turn your car off and turn the wheel that is how it will feel, it all feels the same at about 5mph and higher between power and non.

Yes it is safe to remove it. My pulley got fucked up one day while driving...belt started smoking like a **** one day. I thought about fixing it but said fug it, just took it out along with the brackets pulley and resevoir. I love the way it feels when driving...plus my girl never wants to drive it anymore because of that
