i mistakinly ordered a 2inch instead of a 2.25 inch cat for my 2.25 exhaust and dc header, what problems might i come across putting this on? the o.d of the collecter is roughly 2 inches, so i think i could have a shop expand the opening on the cat a bit.

 

A shop should have no problem making bigger and fitting your needs just make sure its taken to a good muffler shop

 

well the flow is going to be crap.. OoO.. thats what i will flow like... i would try to return it.. or maybe sell it.. Or hell just get a test pipe..

 

Not really going to matter on a stock motor, now if it was a hi-comp or FI then yeah i'd return it. but if it was just a replacement type of thing being used on a stock motor with bolt ons the power difference is small. I wouldnt waste my time but its your car

 

ya its a stock motor, i plan on swapping in the future, and by then this thing will prolly be shot, muffler shop got in on with no problems, thx for the replies
