Default B16a Intakes

I got a first gen civic hatch with a B16, I need an intake cause the stock one is busted up, I figured id just get a 7 dollar one off ebay and then acually get a good filter like K&N or something, but I have to ask do I buy one for a first gen hatch or for a honda that comes with a b16?

I have a DOHC ZC in my 89 hatch and my cousin has a B16A1 (1st gen) in his crx.. we BOTH got intakes made for the 88-91 civic/crx's and they fit no problem.. dont waste your time trying to relocate the battery..

Dont get one for the 99 si... I have an 88 crx with 1st gen b16, and i have an aem v2 from an 99si, and it fits pretty terrible. I had to relocate my battery for it to "fit". If given the option again, i would go with the aem intake for the 88-91 crx.

On my last B16 with the relocated battery I used the AEM CAI for the 92-95 Civic, perfect fit.
On my DOHC ZC now I have the reg. short 88-91 Civic AEM, also a perfect fit.

If you are needing a good intake cheap, I am selling the AEM. It is only on there while my car is in the paint shop, when I get the car back, I will be turboing it, the intake is mint and will go for cheap.

I've got a B18a swap in my hatch and i used the 99-00 Si intake...Fit perfect, looks great, and performs terrific! I did relocate my battery though...People have fit it with their battery still there though...just get a smaller battery...
