Default Tips on taking off crx side moldings?

I am in the process of respraying my moldings. I taped them off, and when i pulled the tape off you could see the white paint underneath. So i want to respray them the right way this time. Any helpful hints or anything i should know about? I will probably need new clips? Shoul I Just order new ones from the honda dealer, or can i reuse the old ones?

I suck at body stuff.

Here is before

Now this is how it sits now....It doesn't look bad, but there is some spots that i would like to redo.

just pull the interior panels and door panels. then just use pliers to squeeze the clips together. pull the mouldings off.

no its seriously is that easy. its just a 2 wing clip. squeeze the wings together and they slide right out. do you just not want to mess with the interior?

also the ones on the door have bolt right at the end of the door if you look. if remember correctly they come right off after you unbolt them, well for the door side moldings
