What are you doing with the car? You need to give us more info other than "Like title says whats the best? and worth the money."

Just remember this ask a stupid, non informative question get a really stupid answer.

For the street I agree with Speed--Freak, although I wouldn't do the SS lines they really don't do a whole lot.

basicly its all in the pads and brake fluid you use. a good set of blank rotors, ss lines ( help with pedal feel and they wont sponge up ) and some good pads ( like hawk, green stuff, ect...) and a healthy dose of dot 3 or dot 4 brake fluid.

Go pick up this months Sport Compact Car and read the artical on the big brake Miata.
That will have all the answers you need.

Just a quick factiod though,
No car that has ever had a big brake kit made by an aftermarket company has ever stopped even 1 foot shorter from a 60-0 or 80-0 than a stock setup with pads and lines.

Brembo blanks hawk HPS pads good DOT 3 tried and true on the street and the track.

I am in the group who feels disks on such a light car is a waste I have healthy drums and thats all I need.

I think there are 3 advantages to haveing drums.
1 would be just the weight
2 easier to cool down because it's all exposed
and 3 is the fact that drums hold the brake dust in them where discs are self cleaning.

I'm voting for the Wilwood 13in in the front, and 11in rear disc from http://www.fastbrakes.com. A buddy of mine has the 12" wilwoods and he stops on a dime, like 80mph-0 in hammertime. Now that's fast

The only reason to go with a big brake kit is because you are on a real race track and you are on the brakes AS much as the gas.
The bigger rotors get rid of the heat faster but you will need them to stay at 600f to be in their optmal operating range.
If you can't maintain that temp, they will preform much worse than overheated stock rotors.

And by a real race track I mean braking from 80-100 on the back straight for 20 laps plus everything inbetween.

yes, they make big brake kits for the crx. check out http://www.fastbrakes.com

another common option is to get the front uprights off of a 90-91 4-dr civic ex, integra type-r calipers, and 11" prelude rotors, redrilled to 4x100, usually along with a 15/16ths master cylinder and brake booster. this will all bolt right up to a crx, and gives you 11 inch rotors with much larger calipers up front.

some people also just use the ex knuckles and brakes, since they are 10.3", as opposed to the stock crx brakes, which are 9.something.

If you want a set of ex knuckles and brakes let me know, i should be able to get you a set for $200 shipped or so.

here are some instructions on the ex swap: http://crxresource.org/modules...id=75
