new to welding. how do these look?

Default new to welding. how do these look?

well i just finished my second day of my flat arc welding class. i was just hoping to get a few more pointers

sorry the pics arnt the greatest due to my camera and my lack of skill when it come to using it

not bad, try to angle your rod up a little more so they are more like (((((((( instead of like this <<<<<<<<<<<&lt ; keep practiceing your on your way.

That's about what my first arc welds looked like. Definately hold the electrode more vertical as stated earlier, but they look good. Once you fill a few plates like that you'll get the hang of it. 6013 rod?
