Default Type-S or AEM?

So my type-S swap from HMO is coming in tonight or tomorrow. Question is, should I just keep the AEM CAI, or should I go ahead and change out for the type-s intake that's coming with the engine. From what I heard from ONE dude, he preffered the top end power of his AEM to the type-s.

I was wondering is anyone had any experience with which was better.

Also - searched my ******' ***** off for a type-s dyno and found zilch. What gives?

TIA

If you decide to go with a aem, I'd be interested in buying your type-s, I'm not crazy about top end since I don't ever rev that high. The type-s is a good mid range power kinda of intake compared to the AEM which gives more hp the top end for those who live their life in the fast lane

I checked out their prices on a type-s $3600 including the tranny, ecu etc; that not bad at all. Is the tranny they include comes with lsd? does the original type-s tranny comes with lsd?

When they say 'electronically controlled lsd' they're referring to the ATTS unit.

personally, i dont think there is enough power difference for it to matter. Your butt dyno may say differently but we ALL know how inaccurate the butt dyno is.

plus, the type S intake has more overall value than an AEM cai which 9/10 ludes with CAI's already have.

I had the AEM cold air on mine for like 6 months, lost too much power down low, high end it performed alright, nothing spectacular, switched over the Type S with a K&N filter, no regrets. The type s performs much better for me, I probably lost a pony or two up high, but def got more power/torque down low. My vote is for the Type S
