wat is the name of this part?

Default wat is the name of this part?



its not a good picture but its the best 1 could find, i found these parts laying the around the garage but i cant find the name of these parts. its located next to the intake manifold. Number 1 is black with anotehr circle object from the top that connects with number 2. can someone inform me with the common name of this part? thanks.

that is part of the Evaporative Emissions Control System - #1 is the charcoal canister and #2 is the Purge Cut-off Solenoid Valve - just to the left of the Purge cut-off is the MAP sensor

and for the people who dont have emissions can the car run fine without the purge cutoff and the charcoal canister? to remove would you just bypass them?

Yea, just by-pass or plug the ports not needed on the Manifold. all you really need is vaccum on the FPR and map sensor

fresh guy, i'll buy that whole assembly of sensors and vacuum tubes you show in your picture on the firewall if you have them laying around not doing anything.

don't plug the vent line that comes from the fuel tank - everything else can go, unless you need to pass a visual emissions check
