Although it's true that the rear window (with it's compound curves) isn't the easiest to apply film to, it's done with great success every day of the week. The secret is the size of the strips (or how the window is segmented). the narrower the strips, the more compliant they are to the curvature of the glass. The mark of a good tint technician is his ability to surmise how large a strip the window will take without bubbling, rippling issues.
Take it back, or ask for your money back. This isn't rocket science.

And there are almost two thousand tint shops in Arizona, 50% of them are crap. Go with Metro Tint and you will be happy, altho not the cheapest, they use the latest tint sheets that do not discolor and know how to put it on any window shape.

no it's not that the tint shop, it's a design of honduh's 6th gen dot antenna mesh.

you almost cannot do a bubble free tint on the top because all the little dot grouped together in a way, well, tint just would stick.

it's a very common thing for car with rear antenna mesh.

just ask for a black visor, it's not like you going see much from the upper portion anyway.

Here's the results of a GOOGLE!! search for Auto Window Tinting Shops in
Monterey Park, California 91801-3.

http://www.google.com/search?h...earch

I have no way of recommending any (closest I got was Seal Beach (just South of Long Beach) in your local area; but it might be worth a call to either the Chamber of Commerce or the Better Business Bureau for guidance

Hopes this helps

What makes the 6th Gens such a bitch to tint the rear glass?
My '97 cd7 has the printed antenna on the top third of that absolutely huge rear glass, and I haven't has a problem.
I'm only curious b'cuz I don't want to mis-advise anyone
Next time I'm visiting, I'll have to eyeball my 86 yr old Mom's 00 Accord and check it out.

Had the same issue. The top 5-6" of my glass is not tinted because of the bubbles, tho the tint and job itself is of excellent quality.

I've got the same problem, but I've seen people just throw a strip of black vinyl over the top portion. Makes it look a lot better, IMO.

to answer your q's and p's

for 6th gen

well, if you touch the rear upper window from the inside, you can feel all dot, they are bumpy and very close to each other. if you run you finger on top of the those little dots, you'll see why

there's no way it can set even, because all the antenna bumps.

a visor is just a piece of vinyl, it shouldn't cost more than 10 buck, esp. you are in LA.
