'93 H23A1 Top End Rebuild
Hi:
I've posted a couple times before and wanted to know if someone can give me some advice. I wanted to know if there were any performance upgrades that I can do while the top end is apart? My mechanic floated the idea of different camshafts but, I have to keep mind of emissions testing somewhere down the road. Any suggestions and a rough estimate on pricing would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Crower cams; RM, KMS or Crower valve springs and titanium (lightweight) retainers; Supertech or other valves; adjustable cam gears; billet cam seal; fittings on the valve cover for a catch can; a good port & polish job and a good rebuild of all the guides, seals and such.
that would be a very pricy list, but a good one nevertheless. If you want to keep it emissions compliant, you can get stage 1 crower cams, which should be emissions compliant. The billet cam seals are good cuz they're strong. You kinda have to be careful w/ all those mods though b/c on some cars it'll still pass emission, some it won't.
