Hello,

I have a 2006 Accord EX-L (Canadian). And the auto lock system is behaving in a funny way.

(*) You can only unlock the drivers side door with the remote FOB.
(*) If the key is in the ignition and you close the all doors the car will lock itself. Which can be quite disadvantageous if you happen to be outside the car.
(*) In general the system does not behave as described in the manual.

There is no question here that the dealer will make it right. But, does anybody have information as to the cause.

The service manager has indicated at least one other 2006 Accord with the same problem and that a part will be replaced under warranty. I'm really more curious as to why and how and if any other 2006 Accords have experienced the same thing.
