Chicago Electric Mig Welder. all the specs are on this link. I know it's not the best welder, but probably damn good for the beginner.
Specifically designed to use self-shielding flux-cored welding wire, eliminating any need for gas and regulators normal MIG welders require. Includes: 4'' spool of flux-core wire, spare .035'' welding tip, wire brush/hammer and welding mask.
* Self regulating feed control
* Thermal protection with warning light
* Carry handle on lid
* Input: 115 volt, 15 amps, single phase
* Welding current (2 settings) 63 to 68 amps (low), 79 to 90 amps (high)
* Duty cycle: 10% @ 80 amps, 18% @ 60 amps
* Wire capacity: 0.035'' or 0.030''
* Shipping weight: 34-1/2 lbs.

you can weld flux core pretty well if you practice a whole lot lol, and i dont think that has the ability to accept a gas line
Tip the wire at an angle in the direction of the weld. That way you weld away from the flux and get a lot less contamination. Also, don't try to weld in a large area in one pass. If you put a weld over a previous weld without cleaning, you will trap burnt flux in the weld and make it porous. Porous welds are bad. They crack, and they are not watertight.
what item number is that welder, is it the 44567 if so, your not going to be happy with it at all, I worked for Harbor Freight and received aleast 3 or 4 a week returned, just a heads up

People need to start looking at duty cycle before purchasing a welder. 18% DC at 60A(and thats not even the true low setting. the true low setting is ~65A which i would assume is about 15% DC). This basically means you can weld 1.5minutes out of 10. So weld 1.5 minutes, wait another 8.5 minutes. Weld 1.5 minutes, wait another 8.5. Just return it and pick up something better.
i too have a welder from H.F... and it does spatter alot but just practice and it will be ok.. i've used it to weld exh. hangers, intercooler pipes, and lower rad. brackets for a conversion.. every body talks **** about it but its cheap and works.. I haven't had any problems with it yet so it seems ok for now..
