Default Getting a stock CRX cable cluster to work with B swap ?

Is it possible ? All I have to do is get a cable VSS, correct ? The Ecu has to know the speed, so if there a wire that I can tap into on the cluster that will give a speed reading ?

In that case, F**k the gsr cluster project. the crx cluster goes up to 8K anyway, and it will be fun to see the looks on peoples faces when I rev it almost 3K over the (stock) redline.

Looking for a 88-89 CRX cluster, and dash harness...
or if you want a cheap GSR cluster w/plugs and 90% complete modified dash harness pm me

You meen the actual part that goes on/in the tranny right? any 90-93 DA or 88-91 5spd VSS should work, I have a '92 Teg on my ys1 tranny. You just need to run the same cluster as the VSS you run, cable cluster=cable VSS and electric VSS=electric cluster

Any cable will work....Just Remember to Be careful setting the Vss back into the Tranny. And Don't don't dont' don't forget to put your C-Clip on correctly....Pull the cable up and down a little bit to make sure it fits in that groove thing or mid drive....No more Rpms. Bummer...
And yes the gs-r may be what everybody is doing but I love watching the passangers face when i dip 3 numbers in the red...and my HF shiftlift Turns on at 7800. It's a total HF thing. Good times to be had. Good luck....And anything above 92 tranny has E.VSS.

except for the 92-93 GS-R and ys1s around the world for civics that is true 92-up=E.VSS

Yeah i swapped my Vss from My old ys-1(Ls) right into the new Ys-1 Case. Those two 10mm bolts are all that hold that sucker in.

wrong! the ecu recieves the speed signal from the cluster, not the tranny. So if you're speedo works (via cable) thats all that matters. now if you had a hydro tranny with an electric VSS we would be in a whole new ball game.
