ok know that hasport came out with mounts i want to do a h but what one, obd o,1,2 and where can i get one.ive always messed with b stuff. but would like to do a H swap now. any info wil help

Whatever 'motor' you can get a deal on would be a good start.. unless you're going to build something really insane than I dont think you really need to worry about obd1 or obd2 as far as engine design goes. The only one you'll want to stay away from is the H22A4 (someone correct me if i'm wrong).. it has a different block design as it is designed specifically for the ?ATTS? tranny.

If you do buy an OBD2 engine (advantage: newer) than sell off the OBD2 distributer and ECU and convert to OBD1. I suggest you dont start off with A P13 ecu (Prelude ECU) and go with a chipped P28 or P72 right from the start. That way you dont need to concern yourself with the useless EGR system or usless knock sensor.

THe H22A4 is a good motor, it's no different than the other gens of H22's. But yes there are two types of H22A4's the base model which is the normal H22 with a regular H22 tranny and then there's the Type Sh model which has the ATTS LSD setup and what not. U cannot run that setup(the Type SH) in any car but the prelude, but you can put the H22A4 base model motor into any car. I have the H22A4 motor in my 93 Civic Hatch.

 

Also there is not an OBD-0 H22.

 

The OBD1 H22 swap will probably be your easiest find for a good deal.

 

are there cable trannys for the h

 

the trannies are hydraulic but are cable operated. You will need the Cable to Hydro conversion offered by Hasport.
