first race.
okay, here it is. i just raced this weekend at the track to see my time. this was a night drag but it started around 4 or 5 in the afternoon but it wasnt too hot. very windy. i live guam so it was around 81degrees. anyway, my average time that i was hitting was 17.1 with a 98 honda ex coupe. i have an AEM cam gear which was advanced 4 and i took out my right headlight and ran flex pipe to my short ram intake.i also took out my power steering belt. after i took that out, i was hitting 16.8. any suggestions on what to do next that will make my time go lower. oh yeah, my car was gutted out and i took off the rear bumper.

as for bolt ons the only thing to get that engine in 14's is a turbo with some tuning,

practice practice practice....thats the first step. if that car was fully gutted, you should have been doing better than the 17.1's you were pulling. get a 4-1 header if you'll be at the track alot. Drag radials would be better too. i wouldnt suggest slicks just yet. if you really want 14's, go buy a zex wet kit. i had one on the 75 shot, full interior, and ran a 14.3 in my 00 EX. oh yeah, exhaust is also a necessity. Best investment though is to hold off on parts right now and piece together a turbo kit. i made one for 1200 bux.

You can put together a turbo kit for very cheep too if your on a budget. I turbo'd my B series for $1000. I could put together a D series kit for even cheeper using a DSM side mount, T25, HX manni

Not true. My friend ran 14.2 with intake, cam, valvetrain, and exhaust.
That was on a beat and tired D16Z6.
