Default Trouble with fitting JDM EG Fog lights

I have some fog lights off a front clip and i tried installing them on my car but the black bracket is hitting my front reinforcement.

What am i doing wrong? I searched but no one else has had the same problem. I have the fog lights mounted but i took off the reinforcement. I would like to put it back on for safety reasons but is there a way to do it without modifying the fog light bracket or reinforcement?

Has anyone else ever had a similar problem? I have Lexus fog lights in place of the stanley ones but that should not be an issue since they fit right in, inplace of the old ones without modifications. Please help!!!

i thought i had that same problem when i installed my jdm fogs. it will fit with the rebar. when you put on your bumper, pull down from the bottom of the bumper. so that the fog bracket will have clearance to go back or when you put on the bumper you notice that the bracket is hitting the rebar when your looking in the fog holes, just pull down the bracket to go under it. hope that helps

thanks for the advice but it looks as if the bracket is about one inch too high and there is no way i can just push down on the bumper for it to fit. What is that bracket for anyways on the foglights...one corner on each side....it does look to bolt on to anything...just gets in the way..

thanks again

Play around with it. I know I got it to fit right, and you can too.

the bracket your talking has one hole right on top of the foglights bracket? if so, once you get you bumper on with the fogs you will notice that it will bolt onto the radiator support under the rebar.

yea your right...it does seem like it suppose to bolt on to the reinf. but how do i do that with the bumper on? Anyways...its still not fitting and i think it "might" have something to do with my aftermarket bumper... or my *** just not thinking straight...

you can bolt it on through the foglight hole. you have to bolt that part b4 you put the fog cover on. i have an aftermarket bumper also and it fit fine but you have to do a little fighting with it. my best suggestion is to put the fog bracket under the rebar first then pull up on the bumper over the top of the rebar. thats how i did it and it works then just push the bumper back. then with the fog cover off.. look in and you will see where it bolts. after that put the cover back on.
