I just bought a 94 Civic Ex coupe 5 speed. Finally!
1) I did some searching and I couldn't find the stock weight of the car. Mine is loaded.
2) I also need an IAC for it, can I use any D series IAC? Like off a 1.5, obviously as long as it's fuel injected.
3) Were is the Vtec solenoid? Are any of those interchangable between years, models of cars?

the motor in your ex should be the D16z6, the vtec solenoid is on the passenger rear of the head at the top.

 

and whats a ek, eg, eg6? What do I have?

 

you have an eg 92-95 civic

an ek 96-00 civic

 

more specificly your chassis is an ej1. this board just considers anything from 92-95 an eg. And i believe the weight is somewhere around 2400 for the ex.

 

were do I look for engine part interchangeablity? Mostly just the IAC and Vtec solenoid for now?

 

Does anyone know about the interchangeablity of the vtec solenoid and IAC?

 

VTEC solenoids are interchangable between d series motors and b series motors. The iacv is also interchangable between d15 and d16.
