2002 Accord 75k mile schedueled maintenance
This is for my lady's car and just need a heads up so if we go to get it done they aren't hosing her. I was on hold for 20 minutes with the service department and they just gave me some watered down answer about spark plugs. What did it cost you guys? Is it possible to get this done myself being limited in my knowledge of car repair? What exactly does this entail?
I searched btw and nothing came up in either post topics or post bodies.

Can you read. If you don't have a owner's manual, get one, and look it up. Too lazy to look it up yourself, so you want someone here to do it for you. Sorry bud, it's not going to be me.
Thanks for the free bump gramps. If she had an owners manual I would have just used my elite reading comprehension and not waste any of your hard earned time on the internet. I'm sorry my simple question kicked a bunch of sand in your vagina, heres some tweasers to get it out.
Your limited knowledge prevents you from doing it yourself. But you are too tight to pay someone else, (with knowledge) to do it. So sad.

I'm going to get it done, but sadly I don't drive an accord so I have no clue what the maintnance should run on it so I'd rather my lady does not get fleeced, what is so difficult about the question? Get out of my thread and go do whatever middle aged internet trolls do when they are not on the internet proving how witty they are to twenty somethings on a car forum.

Jesus. What is with everyone lately? Is there some kind of competition to see who can be the biggest ******* on this forum?
Safety Not Guaranteed,
Here is what is scheduled for the 75,000 mark:
Check all fluid levels.
Check and adjust (if necessary) drivebelts.
Inspect and replace (if necessary) all hoses.
Inspect brake system.
Seat belt check.
Replace air filter. (if necessary, obviously)
Inspect fuel system.
Inspect the suspension, steering components, and driveaxle boots.
Check exhaust system.
Spark plugs (4-cyl) are scheduled at every 30,000, but feel free to change them more often (they're cheap anyways). Spark plugs for V6 are scheduled at 105,000 miles.

Ok guys quit the testosterone contest.
75K service just usually includes oil change tire rotate and change brake fluid. No big deal. The spark plugs are platinum still so no need to change those till 105K

Thank you so much thats all I needed, I will leave the accord forum alone now since I seem to have upset a curmudgeon or two.

you could have read the 6th gen faq at the top of the list. Subcribing to owner's link from Honda is a great asset as it shows you the maint schedule for your car once you put the VIN in.

Starting in 2000 I believe that 4-cyl are scheduled at 105,000. Of course, spark plugs are cheap, I’d replace them much sooner. And I may be wrong, maybe it was still 30,000 miles in 2002.
Safety Not Guaranteed, if you’re still reading this thread, take a look at the owner’s manual in your wife’s car, it’ll list what maintenance needs to be done as well as what should have been done at 60,000 and 45,000 miles, etc. Double check to make sure those items were all done, if not do them now of course. Things like changing the spark plugs (though I don’t think you need to yet) are very easy to do on Accords, the plugs are right there in front. You asked if it was possible to do certain things yourself even with limited knowledge of car repair… of course there’s only one way to get that knowledge and that’s to just do it.
Anyway, figure out what you need done to the car by looking at the owner’s manual. Figure out what you can do yourself and do that. For the remainder of the items, I’d farm it out – have the tires rotated and the basic inspection, including brakes, done by a tire shop with a certified mechanic, maybe have the dealer do the radiator flush and fill if you need that (that’s due at 75,000 miles on my ’99 LX), change the oil yourself, etc.
By the way, one of the quarks of Honda dealers is that if you call them up and say “I need a 75,000 mile service, how much will it be?” and if you call them up later and say “I need these things done[listing the items in the 75,000 mile service], how much will it be?”, you’ll get two different answers with the first one being higher. So don’t ask for “75,000 service”, ask for x, y, and z.

Actually, I believe you're right.
The Accord is actually the OP's girlfriend/wife/lady friend/significant other's car. (He called her "the lady".) There's no owner's manual with her car...

I missed the second post where he said he didn't have the owner's manul.
He should get her one, he could call it her Valentine's Day present. $10 to $15 off of ebay. Nothing says love like an Accord owner's manual!
Speaking of Valentine's day, I just realized that tomorrow is my anniversary. I probably should get something for my wife on the way home tonight.
