Default SOHC ZC Clutch problem

Parts: new SOHC ZC motor. 88 SI tranny. Dynopack cluth kit

Problem: Clutch refuses to disengage.

OK my clutch WILL NOT DISENGAGE! I've already tried to adjust the clutch cable for the past hour, and I'm still having no luck. Is there something the factory service manual isn't telling me? Any help you guys can give is definently appreciated

I don't know how I can make it any clearer.

Car will not go into gear while car is running. Tries to kill the engine. I can move the gears while its off though. Is that better?

your T/o bearing may not be alligned or malfuncioning
your presure plate isnt isnt tight enough
your cable might be too tight/ too loose

Throw out bearing- Possibility
Pressure plate- tourqued down
Cable- Been dickin with it for far too long for it to be that

P.S. Is there anyway I can drop the tranny without having to remove the engine a second time?

if you just replaced the clutch i hope you resurfaced the flywheel or at least scuffed it with some sandpaper i just had to replace my clutch and once everything was done it will do the same thing like yours so i had to take it all back apart resurfaced the flywheel and now it works just fine but i need to replace my clutch cable also and this could be a possibility im not saying is your problem

good luck

Your a freakin saint. that solved my problem. I just put my old clutch and flywheel on. The flywheel that came with the engine did need to be resurfaced.

Your a freakin lifesaver man. Thanks
