I am in the process of doing a 99-00 conversion on my 98 2dr civic was woundering if to do the project i need anything more than:

also at the same time i would like to put a type r lip on, does anyone know which is better abs PLASTIC or URETHANE.

Ok so i am having hard time finding a CF hood any recomendations on where to get one and possibly what brand? VIS? I just want to make sure i get one that doesnt have gaps.

some say you need to replace the radiator support cause well there a little bit different and youll end up with a gap between the grill and the hood.... i did it to my car and theres a gap and it really kinda sucks

wow. You dont need a radiator support at all. Lets just make the guy hack his off and weld it at home. The front end is the same. You dont need a radiator support.

The parts listed are fine. When you go to put on the grill/frontbumper combo, you need to make a one inch cut to get around the two outside bumper clip brackets, because they are shapped slightly different. thats it. I have done this MANY times with no issues, and no gaps.

I'm prett sure you need to do a rad support change because I've seen some pictures before and after and alot of people have recommended to change over.

No you don't need the radiator support. Plenty of people have done the conversion without it and everything lined up just fine.

Ok... so I can do it the right way ( get the rad. support ) and be sure that there will be no compications. Or try methods mentioned above. Either way where would I be able to get a radiator support?

With the lip, I have the abs plastic one on my coupe. I ride low, so if it gets damaged; it'll be cheaper to get another one.

You don't need the rad. support. Check this link for example:

Hope this helps.

nope. You dont. it would be nice. The bracket that attaches to the headlight to hold up the bumper closer to the bottom of the headlight, especially in the centre.

Exactly, the only different on the 99 radiator support is this piece of bracket on each side, either file down the bracket or file your bumper.

well everybody says fucken NO.... i used all oem parts and i ended up with a half inch gap between the hood and the grill.... you should get all the parts minus the rad. support and see how it fits, if its not to your liking then get a rad. support

Surely there's a way around this, though. Seems to be kinda hit and miss among members that have performed the swap.
