Default ITB ?'s about daily drivability

I have been thinking about doing an individual throttle body setup on my sohc zc. It is a daily driver. I am worried about driving with the itb in the rain and sucking in water. Does anyone use an itb on a daily driver and ever in the rain? I was thinking of mounting a metal plate below the itb's to keep water from splashing in but then it might block some of the cold airflow to the itb's. Any ideas anyone?

Build an airbox and use a filter.

Anyone with itb's have any ideas? I am thinking itb's are bad for a daily driver. Or I could have a removable airbox that I would only put on in the rain. Anyone have itb's on a daily driver?
