WTB: SOHC D16Y8
why not do the swap right and use a sohc vtec dist and intake manifold. Then you dont have to ghetto rig the dist mounts, and you will actually get the potential from the sohc vtec motor?
Because then I would have to convert the car to OBD-1 or OBD-2 and I don't really feel like doing all that. I plan on using the Y8 intake manifold.

ok, not that it is hard to convert it to obd1 and use the proper sohc vtec ecu. At least you are gonna use the proper intake manifold.
If you decide you want to get the full potential out of the motor and run the proper fuel maps, check this post. It tells you how to convert it to obd1.

Well I would do it that way but I already have a VAFC so I don't need to worry about the VTEC switchover and it's not going to be a stock engine. If I was running the stock engine I would probably do it your way though. I'll probably just take the car to Ericks Racing and have them burn me a custom program. Thanks for the help though.
