Prelude Electrical Grounds. Where?
What im trying to do is find out where the "important" grounds are in the 4th gen prelude. Obviously theres the battery ground, but what other ones are important for a car to run perfect without any electrical issues. The reason i ask is, i may have blown my p13, and poeple are saying because it may have not been grounded or because of some short. Can any one tell me which grounds i should double check to make sure theres a full connection. im trying to prevent blowing anything on my car. Isnt that the reason theres a fuse for the ecu, to prevent it from becoming elecitrically useless?
You have the valve cover ground, the tranny ground, the ECU ground lower on the thermostat housing, and the ground plugs for the other electrical stuff on the engine harness are those white plugs right behind each headlight that bolt to the frame. Then you have vaious smaller grounds throughout the interior...
The ones you posted, are those the ones i could be aware of, and to double check? The ECU ground is on the thermohousing?? i think i know which one that is. To make sure theres no problems should they be clean?
Yeah, those are the important ones....well, they're all important, but those are needed for engine performance. The ECU ground bolts on right below the where the long rad hose attaches to the thermo housing.
Definately clean the grounds! Use some fine sandpaper or something like that...

can someone post a pic of where the ground is on teh tranny? not a diagram from majestic, but a pic. i can't figure out where it was. i ripped everything apart and forgot where this ground goes
its on the same cable as the negative from the battery....it goes from the negative terminal, bolts to the radiator support right by the bracket, then goes down to the gold bracket on the front of the casing, right below the starter
