suspension problem after installation
I changed my suspension last weekend on the driver side only since it was making some noise. After installation and taking it to the road, I hear that the shock is either not sitting tight to the fork or something since it is making some knocking noise. I have checked the alignment of the shock in respect to the fork and it seems to be okay. I know that there is a tab which needs to go to the back and it is. Now I am very confused. Any help would be appreciated. is there a specific way to put the shock back? Thank you in advance.
Just a regular setup, I didn't lower the spring or anything. It is a 96 Honda Accord LX. I do notice that the noise came when it goes over even the slightest bump. Any help would be appreicated.
I think you are right on both. I am not sure if it is the shock or ball joint. Originally, the squeaking noise is coming from somewhere and I thought it was the shock. The noise that it is making now is metal to metal. It looks as if the shock is not sitted properly. But I am not sure. Do I need to do an alignment to get rid of the problem?
