don't flame because he's just trying to get some help: i'll try to translate using my powers of deduction>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>

idle was off, guess it was the IACV, but nope...

losing gas mileage BIG TIME, yo! would get 325 (to a tank) city driving. I now haveta have a light foot just to make 200 miles a tank.

What can be my problem? I performed the trouble code test & #43/ fuel supply system is what I got from the car's ecu/ecm.

I think my >>>>>>>p/r<<<<<<<<<< is fried. (i have no idea what that is; fuel pressure regulator???)

------------------------------------------

I would start w/ a fuel filter change... mebbe check for clogged injector/s as well...

I think we just met the future town manager of Turlock California.

I ran it thru the BabelFish* Interpreter and after thirty minutes it came up with
Lousy Milage
Feather Foot (some Indian name I think)
suffers from 325 while dippin thru town

If froze up at that point
After consulting under the "Cone of Silence" I came up with: Fuel Filter or tank pressure control.

Sounds like maybe a combination of problems to get gas mileage that is that bad. Code 43 is most often the O2 sensor but it may have fouled due to overly rich running caused by something else. I would think your EGR valve and ports are clogged and you may have vacuum leak issues. You could have a bad coolant temp sensor.

If you were having a problem with piston rings, it would be very apparent. Symptoms ranging from engine skips, burning oil clouds, oil leaks from excessive crankcase pressure would be just a few.
If you want to help the piston rings along (you suspect several may be sticking in their grooves; equally distribute the contents of a can of GM Top Engine Cleaner (PN# 1050002) thru the spark plug holes into each cylinder. Let sit for about an hour. Spin the engine over (w/out the plugs installed) to evacuated the excess. Reassemble and fire up. - no more stuck rings (or carbon on the piston tops either)

Tell me, when you remove the gas filler cap, do you hear the pressure equalize?

Could be a hole in the exhaust and O2 sensor, spark plugs and wires, air filter, tuneup?

True, Low cross-counts (O2 sensor gets lazy with age) could effect fuel economy

fix code 43 before anything else. code 43 means there is a fuel supply system problem, not an exhaust problem not an egr problem.
the problem can be:
fuel injectors
fuel injector resistor
fuel pressure regulator
fuel filter
fuel pump
pgm-fi main relay
or a bad connection/bad wire to the o2 sensor

Sounds like bad O2 sensor Y0!

I agree... i'd go w/ the fuel filter 1st just to rule it out... + if you can't remember when it was changed last, it's part of preventative maintenance

I'd tackle/ retest ecu/ecm for the bad o2 sensor. codes 1,2,41,48 may flash when it's a bad o2 sensor. But won't flash a code when it is a lazy oxygen sensor, so I may change it out as well...

Why do you guys even bother to add in your two cents when it's of no use? You could've simply said that you cannot understand what he was saying, rather than adding your own unnecessary, sarcastic remarks. I think you guys need to reevaluate how old you all are truly acting.

BlUAc - Your best bet is to bring your car to a reputable shop who can look over your car and tell you exactly what's wrong with it. At the very least they could give you you some insight on what might be wrong and the amount of money you may be spending. This would be a good alternative instead of you replacing random parts which you deem necessary to your cause. Maybe even bring it to Honda, it's your call.

I don't know; is it better to make ones' point thru humor and mild ribbing, or is it better to go straight out and fire off "Hey Dillweed, learn to type English!" I'd rather use humor.
I know that for every response I give, I proof read it, check for correct spelling and fire it off; because I want to be accurate, concise and understood.
I've no time to type in the vernacular just to sound cute. It takes no longer to type it out correctly.
As to the previous posts; near all of them have both suggestions (and I suspect at least one answer) which are pertinent.
I don't think it asking too much that a person having a question ask it in a clear fashion. Lord knows it's sometimes like pulling teeth to get the info you need to make a determination.
