Default HELP! Does a Skunk2 Shifter with ITR shift linkage hit the exhaust?

Hi All,

I have 1998 EK4 B16A with stock tranny. I already have a S2 shifter with the stock EK4 shift linkage however the shifter sits so low that it makes the linkage hit the exhaust when shifting. It vibrates and its giving me the *****.

Now I have heard that the ITR shift linkage positions the 'ball' of the shifter higher .. so theoretically if I install a ITR shift linkage along with the S2 short shifter will it create more clearance?

How does the S2 shoft shifter work in your ITRs? smooth as butter or does it hit the exhaust?

And yes before you argue - the ITR linkage WILL work in an EK

Your help is appreciated.

One of these forums would be a better place to ask

hey guys i do believe he is actually asking in the right forum, maybe you guys just interpreit the question differently.

he's asking if there's any itr owners running the s2 short shifter is rubbing on there pipe, i don't think a civic forum will give them that answer.

-> when i had the s2 on my civic with b16 swap, the linkage hit the pipe as well FWIW

Mine used to rub on the exhaust really bad.

I changed out the my old setup to a Buddy Club one and it doesn't rub at all anymore. I think its dependent on the piping you're using
