I use Lexol leather cleaner to clean, Lexol leather conditioner when I don't need to clean it.

Spray it down with Febreze!

It IS possible to wash leathers. Just don't use a washing machine or dryer to wash (or dry).

I believe the process is to gently scrub the leathers in a bathtub with a light soap/water mixture, rinse thoroughly, then leave them flat on the ground to dry. Stuff some newspaper or paper towels into the sleeves to help dry out the inside. It will take a day or two to completely dry.

As for the Lexol, you apply a small amount onto a towel (paper or terry) and wipe down your leathers. Then wipe off with a clean one.

And keep an eye on your spending - nothing gets you into debt faster than motorcycle-related purchases.

Lexol Household? I've never heard of that. AFAIK, there are only two Lexol products - the cleaner and the conditioner. They're fun to use, but it's a PITA if you've got to clean a whole 1 piece suit...

actually the label says not to get it dry cleaned, but most places i know you can still take it there and they send it off to a specialty leather cleaning place. my friend's parents own a dry cleaners and she said that's what they do when people bring in leather jackets and such.

on another note, the inner lining unzips out and that material seems like you could wash it with your other clothes.

to properly clean leather, it has to be taken to a leather cleaner. most drycleaners will have access to one. you go to a drycleaners and they will send it out to a leather specialist. the process for cleaning leather is a bit longer than any standard cleaning. my father owns a dry cleaners and when we send out leather, it doesn't come back for 2 weeks minimum.
