Default Need Help With ECU : What Wire Is This? (Picture)

So I went under the carpet tonight to check out my ecu.

First question is : What wire is this?

Sorry for such a big picture. I did resize them but I had to leave them big enough so you guys could see what wire im talking about.

And Here is another picture.

And my second question is how do I figure out what ECU I am running?

Thanks

not sure about the wire off the top of my head. if you look on the side or your ecu, there will be a sticker with a bar code on it. there will also be two serial numbers. in the middle of the dashes on the top number will be the code of your ecu. it will be like p72 p73 or p06 whatever.

Looks like the wire goes into the harness. What pin is it?

And to check what ecu you have look on the side of it.

Theres no serial number or anything on the sides. No numbers at all. And I don't know what pin or how to check what pin it is.

I bought the car with that ECU. And it looks like there is 2 wires that are spliced to 2 other wires going through a grommet in the firewall.

You can see the yellow wire in the first picture, in the top left corner, and the red wire in the second picture under my hand.

What kind of car are you driving with what motor? That might help someone identify the ecu better.

Youll have to open the ecu and show us pictures of the inside. If you like you could bring the car by and i could look at it and tell you how to read pins and figure whats what. LMK.

take the cover off with a philips screwdriver and there should be a sticker inside it with the aforementioned serial number.
