Default megan racing products...

I was wondering what was the general opinion of the quality and performance gains from the megan headers and exhaust, also are the coil-overs any good

You get what you pay for...seriously. Megan didn't re-invent anything--there is a reason their products are priced so cheaply compared to other brands.

Their products are excellent. Nice welds and nice price. Brands are not everything but go for their quality.

I have a few Megan parts, and I am more than satisfied with them.

Im happy with a 3-4 hp gain on a megan header @ $150 than a 5 hp gain with DC-S or something similar at $250+

Unless your going for the absolute most power you can squeeze out of your car and have infinite funds to do so, I recommend their parts. Good quality, cheap, reliable, good performance gains... from me

If you guys can't afford to mod your car with pieces at least up to OEM quality, then why do so at all?

I'm waiting to see how the Megan stuff will be given a midwest winter or their coilovers after 10K miles of highway use.

Yeah, their testpipes will probably be fine and their headers, while not making as much power as the good quality stuff, should still be ok if they had half a brain and used quality piping. However, the more intricate parts (like shocks)...I wouldn't waste my money. Especially when a Mugen kit is only a few hundred more.

Here's my list of parts quality, from least to greatest:

--no-name ebay crap
--Megan/APC
--DC/AEM/Skunk 2
--Mugen/Toda/Spoon

Take it for what's it worth. You just bought a $25K RSX...why put cheap parts on it?

I will agree with you about the shocks/coilovers/etc though. I would go somewhere else for them. Ground Control has my vote. Headers, intake, pulleys...Megan all the way.

I remember someone arguing why its important to get good suspension parts...

"It can be the difference between 'I lost control around that turn and hit a tree', and 'I almost lost control around that turn and barely missed a tree'"

Those are words to live by. Dont go cheap on your suspension

well what people are saying is true, u get what u pay for, but i think megan has great quality products for a low low price. To me i think they are well worth the money. I have the megan header/test pipe combo and it is awsome! a friend of mine has the coilovers and they are awsome! If u wanna know more about their products then go search on clubrsx.com, many many reviews there.
