So would 89 crx sits bolt into an 89 4-door? 90 crx seats into a 90 4-door? etc

Very unlikely, the CRX seats are specific to that Chassis. I am willing to bet the 4d seats only fit the 4dr as well. for some Dumb reason it seems that all EF seats only fit the car they originally came in

Damn thats terrible, but I guess it makes sense. I know you can custom fabricate & weld the rails of any seat into any chassis with enough dedication and work, but I just figured there would be a decent set of comfortable/semi-good looking OEM honda seats that would bolt right in

yea us EF guys get the raw end of the deal on this subject. From what I have read 92-93 GSR or LS seats may be the easiest to try and modify and they are VERY comfortable! that is what my buddy installed in his HB

yeah but I thought that was understood because this is the EF forum
If you really want to look into this further just start taking measurements of the seats you want to try and install (bolt hole to bolt hole left to right)) and just compare it to the measure ments you need to take of your 4dr seats.
that will let you know how much work would be needed in each case.

Ha thanks just checking, I don't frequent the EF forum too often, because I'm not an EF owner...yet.
I will have to check the local junkyards and see if I can do some research, thanks again

i have a 1990 civic dx with Da seats. the 3 out of the 4 bolt holes line up. I also had 91 civic SI hatch seats in it in the past but found that the DA seats are far more comfortable.
88-89 are different than 90-91. so i dont know about that. you might be able to get Si hatch seats from the same year but thats it.
Good luck!

Did you have to do any more modification to the rails, or did you just bolt 3 out of the 4 holes? Thanks man, you have pictures?

DA seat wont line up to 89 hatch, mine have the seat belt on the b pillar. Iam still trying to figure it out how to bolt in. I have heard that the seat for civic 88-89 with the seat belt
on b pillar only interchangeable with that year only.
and also the 89-91 with seat belt on the door would interchangeable to that year only.
i do not know much about sedan. seat bolt pattern, it might be the same as my explanation above

FOR THE 90-91 seats the large flat rear bolt needs b=to be made bigger. but thats it.
for the DA ones the 3 bolt hoes out of the 4 bolt up. no mods necessary.
ill take pics today...

90-91 civic si seats fit but you have to swap the inner rails. i dont know about crx seats as they are a bit different.
