I'm attempting to take off the flywheel off of my AUTO y5 and the spare 5spd y7 I have laying around. Both are a BITCH to take off. I know they're 17mm 12pt sockets. But is there a trick to getting them off?

</TD></TR></TABLE>your gonna want to have something to stop the crank from rotating, and it takes a lot of force with a long breaker bar to get it loose, goodluck

is the engine out of the car? if so, what i did was put the head of a rubber mallet between the block and crank, if its in the car still it might be more tricky, but just anything that wont damage the crank but hold it in place should work. (there is a tool out there that does this)
