Default IS THIS POSSIBLE!! Y7 Block Mate to my 88 Si Trans and A6 Head? Stock Compression?

I found a guy selling a y7 block locally, its rebuilt to 9:1 compression (I think thats stock right)

Well i have an D16a6 head here and a crx si tranny (88 I think)

Can I buy this y7 block and swap it into my crx no problem? I was running a stock d16a6 before, will a lot of things have to be changed?

Also what will the compression be with a y7 block and a6 head

Sorry for the stupid question, but I want this cheap block and am hoping it works with little to no modification

Thanks

if he built the block to 9:1 c/r then thats a motor built for forced induction ( turbo or nitrous ) but when you but the A6 head on there it just might bump the compression up a little bit to where it is around the stock c/r. and yes you can swap it into your rex with no problems at all. simple strait swap.

correct, because you are using the y7 block there isnt anything you need to change. if you were using the y7 head then that would be different as all sensors and what not are up top and not on the block.

so yes everything will bolt up with no problems.

i have put a d16y7 block with a d16y8 head (virtually same as a6 head only the combustion chamber is different) with a crx hf tranny in my 90 std hatchback, yes it works, but make sure you have 4 injector motor to begin with
