hello all, did a search to no avail, was wondering if anybody could help me with the replacement bulb # for the liscense plate lights on a 91 civic. and is replacing it as easy as unscrewing something and putting the new one in. tia

 

Very easy, just take out your old bulb during the day and take it to the auto parts.

 

i couldnt find one that matched exactly but i found one that was the same sized base the bulb was a lil bigger no harm tho, yea just get up under there with a small philips and take the 2 screws out that hold the clear plastic cover over them, and pull out the bulbs, getting them in is a royal pain i layed there for like 10mins trying to push it back up into the socket

well i replaced the bulbs but still no light.. arent these on the same fuse as the headlights or something else #8 right ?? a fuse is the only thing i can think of other the actual sockets being shot but i dont think they are ... any help is appreciated thanks again ..
