i am wondering if si's have drums in the rear or do they have with discs in the rear? i am just wondering because i looked at this si today and it had drums. just wondering how to tell if it really is an si. thanks

 

drums. did it have a sunroof?

 

The easiest way to tell would be if it has a power moonroof. Other things you can look for but can easily be changed are, MPFI (1.6) Intake manifold, d16a6 stamped on the block, Si interior (black cloth seats, speedo w/tach).

 

yeah it had a sunroof and he swaped in a zc. it had a tach too. si front seats. are they supposed to come with discs and not drums?

No,all 88-91 civics in this country have rear drums..Go to carfax.com and type in the vin # and it will tell you what model it is..
90-91 crx si is the one that has rear disc brakes.

If its USDM, it had to have been swapped. No USDM civic hatches were made with discs, end of story.
