rear wheel hop problem
anyone ever had any rear wheel hopping problems under heavy braking? when i was at jennings everytime i would try to late brake going into turn 1, my rear wheel would get to hopping badly and would not stop until i let off the brakes , is this dur to my stock rear suspension? any suggestions , - completely stock 03 600rr

Probably a combination of body position and suspension I'd say.

i was somewhat snugging up with the tank while braking maybe if i put my *** back a little that would help? i was just having the problem going into turn 1 i guess because i was going so fast and putting a lot of my weight forward probably tryin to lift the back wheel a little??? does this mean my suspension is too stiff , or not stiff enough
Your probably leaning to far forward and possibly out of the seat. I was doing this last time I was at Buttonwillow, for some reason it actually worked better for me, once I figured out how far I could push it w/out the rear bouncing/hopping at all.

One more opinion...Try taking a little a rear shock compression damping out.
Make a note of your starting position and don't make radical changes, just one or two clicks at a time. Alternately, try more rebound damping with the same approach.

I would fit a slipper clutch first of all and then try to brake smoother earlier. Late breaking is a bit of a falicy and to be honest unless you need a do or die manover you will be slower and compromise your lines. Get the braking out the way early and you can get back on the power early. When braking consider that you are not in control of the bike, when on the throttle if say you lose the back a little or you start pushing wide you have options of more or less power. If the front is loose and you are hard on brakes you are going down. Brake early and pick the bike up on the throttle, thats my advice.
New fork internals would halp as would prolly a harder spring and less preload, but end of the day a factort rider on a stock bike would murder the average racer on RCV.
