Default Another EG Cluster Problem

Friend gave me an EG cluster (AUTO.... my car is 5spd) with tach

Everything works with exception to gas/temp... He swears it worked before he gave it to me (freebie)

However, he removed the 6 screws to the gauge to remove gas/temp so he could tape over the drive/park/1/2/3 crap...

There are 3 screws of one size and 3 screws of a larger size. Where do they all go?

Thanks!

the screwdriver used to take out the screws on the fuel temp gauag should not be magnetic at all. some how it damages the "4 bobbin coils" on the temp gauge.. you need another gauge now...

You might have the wrong screws holding in the temp/fuel gauge. Each gauge has different size screws that are specific to each gauge. Remove the 3 screws that were holding the gauge on and swap it with the 3 other screws.
