ok.. stock : 89 civic HB vs 98 accord 4 cyl 2.2 or whatever in the 1/4th mile ? winner?
my civic is just the stock dx.. cept i have an cold air intake and its all straight pipe with no muffler just tip.. also stripped insides for racing.. 1.5L 4 cyl engine// my friends dad has a 98 accord 4 cyl 2.2 L i think.(all stock). 5 spd.. same as mine.. he insists that hell blow me away .. what do u think.. even only with my 1.5L i still beat some V6' s and stuff that hate on it so what do u think?got any stock specs for the accord?
i KNOW i would kill it(check my sig to see what ive got). it really depends on how strong your motor is and how much your car weighs, etc. id say if your motor was fairly strong(good compression) and you gutted the car, you would probably beat your friend.
Wow, its funny you asked that, I've got a 98 Accord 2.3L VTEC 5 speed, and an 89 Hatchback. Actually the accord is my wifes ride. Stock with the dual point, her acccord whipped *** all over the HB, put a ZC in the HB, not a chance, then I put a B16 in the HB, REALLY not a chance.
I must say, the accord can hold its own in the world of family sedans.
the following is a list of cars i have beat with it, not like any of these cars are even the slightest bit fast anyway
ford focus, HaHa Easy one
Chevy malibu V6 He gave me a run for my money
98 accord 4cly automatic, I was surprised at this one, beat him pretty good
Chevy lumina V6
chevy Cavalier, anything is faster than one of those
Ford Thunderbird V6 Not a prob.

Hmm i think the accord would stomp you. I know a guy that has one with just i/h and he has full interior and he ran a 14.9 a stock hb isnt gunna even be close to that, but w/o mods i think the accord should be mid-high 15's which is still outta the lil tq the hb has
