i got a 2000 gsr with 40,000 miles in it. i swap to an R engine or just keep buildin it up. if i do keep my gsr motor any suggestions on how to make it as "type R" as possible

Dont swap build the gsr motor I recently bought JUN3's and the their valve train, and also got eagle rods and new pistons and beat a Type R so don't waste you money

 

he is right...I was the Type R he beat, his car is fast as ****. Don't waste your $$, or risk getting ripped off.

 

Have you thought about a b20vtec?

 

Don't get me wrong a type r is a type r for the money your better off sellin your gsr and buying a used type r. The R isn't just the motor but the many other things and to make you gsr into one will cost money.

Besides why mod to be just like one there aren't many stock type r around so you would spend all the loot and still get spanked

 

i went from a SCed GSR to CRVTEC and at times i do miss the SC but getting the rush of whooping fools on the motor is priceless. Its up to u thouh man what are u thinking about swapping it for and how extreme do u wanna go that what it all comes down to
